My New Office.

My husband gave me his old laptop.

That is one of the perks of being married to a writer.

He gets a new computer at least every three years.

So I get the old one.

I am so excited to have a laptop.

Now I can write anywhere I want.

I had thoughts of looking cool in the coffee shop with my new computer.

Or working in the car while my husband drove.

Or at the pool while my children swam.

But my favorite place of all to sit and write is my front porch.

I get inspired looking up from my laptop out at my garden.

My porch is shaded and spacious and surrounded with some of my favorite things:

Plants.

I LOVE your porch. My own porch has a similar design, but my paint is peeling and one end of the porch is sinking, so a new porch is on the wish list around here. Looks so peaceful there.

My porch also needs a paint job and the corner behind the table and chairs is full of dry rot and termites. I'm right there with ya baby. But it's still a nice place to sit. I'm here now.

If I had chaises like yours, I'd be writing all the time! What a wonderful location for your new laptop. I just got a new one too that I can take out into the back garden. But I don't have cool chaises ... they really are beautiful!
